Frequently asked questions❓

We know that choosing a non-traditional, micro-school environment comes with unique questions! Below, we have compiled quick answers to our most common logistical and philosophical inquiries. If you have a question not covered here, please don't hesitate to reach out via our inquiry form.

📋General & Classroom Logistics

Q: What ages do you accept?

A: For our founding school year, we are welcoming a vibrant, mixed-age classroom of Sprouts consisting of Pre-K 3 and Pre-K 4 students.

Q: How many students are in a class?

A: To provide a premium, highly attentive educational environment, our enrollment is strictly limited to just six (6) seats. We call this our "Six-Seat Advantage"—allowing for personalized pacing, deep relationship-building, and true mentorship.

Q: What are your operational hours and calendar?

A: We offer extended operational hours Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM to accommodate working families. Our core academic and instructional school day runs from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Families are welcome to drop off and pick up anytime within our full operational window to best fit their daily schedules.

Q: What is the school calendar?

A: Our academic year runs from August through May, spanning 40 weeks of active instruction. A detailed calendar featuring seasonal themes and holiday dates will be provided to enrolled families and can be viewed on our Student Life page.

📖Curriculum & Faith

Q: What is your curriculum style?

A: We utilize a hands-on, Discovery-Based and Faith-Centered curriculum. Rather than relying on rigid worksheets or screen time, our students learn foundational phonics through sensory play, early math through concrete nature-counting, and science through observing God's beautiful creation firsthand. Our days are designed to cultivate a lifelong love for learning and a deep wonder for the world God made.

Q: How is faith integrated into the daily environment?

A: Our teachings are deeply anchored in the infallible Word of God, focusing on character, love for Christ, and nurturing a personal relationship with God. We are an independent academy focused on helping children grow in their faith, learn to pray, and develop strong moral roots through our daily classroom "ROOTS":

  • Remember God loves me

  • Obey His Word

  • Others first

  • Try my best

  • Serve with joy

💰Financial Policies

Q: What is the tuition rate and when is it due?

A: Weekly tuition is $160.00 per student. To maintain smooth daily operations, tuition is due every Monday morning for the current week of instruction.

Q: Are there additional fees I should prepare for?

A: Upon official acceptance into the academy, a one-time, non-refundable registration fee of $150.00 is required to officially lock in and secure your child's seat. Additionally, a $25.00 late fee is automatically applied to accounts if weekly tuition is not received by Monday evening at 6:00 PM.

Q: Do I have to pay tuition during holiday school closures?

A: No. We deeply value family time during major holidays. We are completely closed for four (4) specific weeks during the academic year (Thanksgiving Break, 2 weeks for Christmas/Winter Break, and Spring Break), and families are not charged tuition during these designated closures.

Q: What happens if my child is absent due to illness or family vacation?

A: Because our fixed operational expenses (such as high-quality educational materials, facility provisions, and teacher planning) remain entirely constant, weekly tuition is required for all weeks the academy is actively open, regardless of student attendance. Continuing your standard weekly payments ensures that your child’s highly exclusive placement in our founding class remains completely secure.

✏️Classroom Dynamics & Daily Life

Q: Does my child need to be fully potty trained to attend?

A: Yes. Because we operate as an active, discovery-based classroom with a single educator, all students must be fully potty trained (independent in the restroom and wearing standard underwear) before their first day of school. We are happy to discuss any specific transition questions during your Family Interview.

Q: Are meals and snacks provided?

A: To ensure all children receive food tailored to their specific dietary needs and preferences, families are asked to pack a nutritious daily lunch and two healthy snacks. Water is always available throughout the day to keep our Sprouts hydrated and energized!

👕Uniforms & Dress Code

Q: Does the academy require uniforms?

A: Yes! To foster a sense of community, eliminate morning dressing distractions, and prepare our minds for learning, Rooted In Christ Academy utilizes a simple, classic uniform policy. Our official colors are Forest Green and Earth Brown.

Q: What specific uniform items should I purchase?

A: Families can mix and match standard polo shirts and bottoms within our color palette:

Tops: Solid forest green polo shirts.

Bottoms: Solid brown pants, shorts, skirts, or skorts (khaki-style brown).

Shoes: Because we love outdoor exploration and hands-on discovery, safe, closed-toe athletic shoes are required daily.
