🎯Our Academic Approach

At Rooted In Christ Academy, we believe academic excellence and spiritual depth grow from the same root. Our curriculum is designed to protect the wonder of early childhood while building a rigorous academic foundation. We believe that education is not just the filling of a bucket, but the lighting of a fire.

🧩The Whole Child Philosophy

Our educational approach is built on three foundational pillars:

1. A Biblical Worldview We believe that all truth is God’s truth. Whether we are studying the life cycle of a butterfly or the alphabet, we do so through the lens of Scripture. We teach our students that the world is a beautiful, orderly place created by a loving God, and that they have a unique purpose within it.

2. Developmental Appropriateness (The Sprout Phase) For our Pre-K 4 students, we recognize that their roots grow best through hands-on experience. Our philosophy perfectly blends rigorous academic readiness with purposeful play:

  • Sensory Learning: Using sand, water, and art to explore foundational concepts.

  • Social Development: Learning to share, empathize, and communicate—treating others as image-bearers of God.

  • Active Discovery: Moving, singing, and exploring the outdoors to engage their God-given curiosity.

3. The Partnership Model We believe the school is an extension of the home. Our philosophy is to come alongside parents by providing a structured, safe environment that reinforces the godly character and values you are already planting at home. As we add a grade level each year, our curriculum will grow in complexity, but our focus on the heart of the child will never change.

🍎Our Core Areas of Study

📖 The Living Book (Language Arts & Early Literacy)

We protect the joy of language by immersing our students in high-quality "living literature" rather than dry worksheets. Through rich storytelling, oral narration, and a strong, phonics-based foundation, we prepare our Pre-K 4 students to become confident, lifelong readers who love the written word.

🔢 God’s Order (Early Mathematics)

Mathematics is the study of the order, patterns, and logic that God designed into the universe. Our students explore math concepts through joyful, hands-on discovery—using natural objects, shapes, and manipulatives to build a deep, conceptual understanding of numbers, counting, and problem-solving.

🌿 God’s World (Science & Nature Study)

The outdoors is our extended classroom. Through daily nature walks, weather tracking, gardening, and firsthand observation, our students engage their God-given curiosity. We treat science as an active adventure, teaching children to observe, question, and marvel at the incredible design of creation.

✝️ The Living Word (Spiritual Discipleship)

Scripture is woven into everything we do, but we also dedicate intentional time each day to anchoring our students' hearts in God’s truth. Through daily Bible narratives, scripture memorization, prayer, and worship, we foster a deep, personal understanding of the love of Jesus and what it means to walk with the Holy Spirit.
